Sol Counseling Community, an organization that promotes growth, authenticity and transformation in the lives of
those we serve by increasing personal and interpersonal competencies. Through individual, group and/or family therapy, we build on the strengths of the individuals we serve in maximizing their insight, coping and decision-making strategies and improving emotional intelligence.
Our four vital keys to transformation and growth include:

Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits, utilizing an eight pillar holistic approach to better physical, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, financial, environmental, social, occupational outcomes.
Society teaches our culture that we must face issues alone. For many of us, we have been taught that we must face issues alone, “deal with it,” “be strong.” With over twenty years of experience in mental health, I specialize in working with individuals across the spectrum of experiencing mood, psychotic disorders, generational trauma and crisis management including:

Types of Modalities
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) aims to help people become aware of when they make negative interpretations, and of behavioral patterns which reinforce the distorted thinking. Cognitive therapy helps people to develop alternative ways of thinking and behaving which aims to reduce their psychological distress.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a cognitive behavioral treatment developed by Marsha Linehan, PhD. It emphasizes individual psychotherapy and group skills training classes to help people learn and use new skills and strategies to develop the quality of life they imagine for themselves. DBT skills include skills for mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Restorative Justice is a problem-solving approach working with individuals through conflict to repair harm. The principle of this model is to support in restoration of the loss a victim of violence, trauma and/or wrongdoing has experienced, which may also involve the offender, community and/or in an active relationship with statutory agencies.
Mindfulness combines cognitive behavioral techniques with mindfulness strategies such as self awareness, mental focus, emotional management strategies and meditation in order to achieve relief from feelings of distress.
Seeking Safety is a present-focused therapy that supports individuals attain safety from trauma (including PTSD) and addiction by emphasizing coping skills, grounding techniques, and psychoeducation
Fees
Individual sessions- 50 minutes $125.00 per session
Assessment- 1-1 ½ hour $150.00
Group Session $50 per individual in group session
