National & local communities participate in annual day of action recognizing and empowering the nearly 5 million Latino-owned businesses driving the U.S. economy.
Austin, Texas, Sept. 14, 2023 – Support Latino Business (SLB), a community-founded nonprofit dedicated to championing, resourcing and collectively working to change the narrative for Latino/x business-owners and entrepreneurs in the U.S., announces its fifth annual day of action, Support Latino Business Day on September 14, 2023.
Helping kick-off Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15), Support Latino Business Day is a call to recognize, celebrate, shop, and support Latino/x-owned businesses in their communities and across the nation, spotlighting their significant contributions, transformative stories, and their lasting impact.
Driven by industry volunteers and community advocates, SLB has partnered with more than 60 Mayors to honor and show their appreciation for their local Latino businesses, with proclamations and celebrations across the U.S.
Offering a free business directory, resource newsletters, programming, spotlights and mentorship opportunities as well as unrestricted grants, Support Latino Business is made possible thanks to its diverse group of dedicated community organizations, notable voices, and corporate partners.
Through the SLB Impact Fund, Support Latino Business and Small Business Majority are partnering again to host the #SupportSmallBiz grants, looking to provide direct support to diverse small businesses across the U.S., with applications opening on SLB Day, September 14, 2023.
